The inimitable style of DJ Dan Healy has graced the world of the very finest VIP Nightclubs for a number of highly successful years. A DJ acknowledged for his integrity, style and charisma, his portfolio is both diverse and eclectic, spanning across London, Europe and the International stage.
From corporate events, celebrity parties, and exclusive high-end soirees, Dan is a rare breed who offers a unique diversity to both the Music and DJ worlds, entertaining the likes of celebrities, TV and music personalities, fashion labels, luxury brands and high-end corporate clients-including Alexander McQueen, Matthew Williamson, and Jay-Z.
A DJ who refuses to be pigeonholed, Dan has managed to do what very few DJ's have, and ply his trade all across the capital. From the trendy basement clubs of Hoxton and Shoreditch, to the VVIP venues of the West End. Holding residencies at nightspots such as Amika, Maya, Movida, Fabric, Ministry Of Sound, and Chinawhite, as well as a multitude of private parties for the Rich and Famous at such establishments as Maddox and Boujis.
He also played for Justin Timberlake and Pharrell Williams at several after-parties on the London leg of the ‘Justified’ tour, after they spotted him spinning at a London club, and were evidently impressed by his skills. At the end of last year, following in the same vein he played for Timberland at the official Fashion Rocks after-party.
In the last three years Dan has really focused on his International career, securing an incredible residency at a beach club during the Cannes Film Festival.
In an insane two-week period he rocked parties for Hugh Hefner and Playboy, Ivana Trump and Macy Gray, as well as dropping fresh house beats while his heroes Eric Morillo and the legendary Carl Cox chatted over some drinks during the daytime beach parties. Following stints in Greece and Dubai he now plays several countries a year at some the best venues in each city, including Kaufleuten and Indochine (Zurich), Es Vive and Bora Bora (Ibiza), Papagayo (St. Tropez, France) and VIP Club (Cannes, France).
Outgoing and enigmatic, Dan not only reads the crowd with an instinctive and finely tuned talent, he performs and entertains with engaging flair. Asked how his career had started, he says:
'I was 19, working in a place on Old Street, opposite 333. Upstairs was a bar and there was a small club in the basement, we used to get some really good unknown DJ’s so I’d always be down there having a listen. Eventually I convinced the promoter to let me have a go, and I think everyone was surprised – including myself – when I tore the roof off! That was it for me, I knew what I wanted my career to be, and more importantly what I wanted my life to be like. I had to be around music, everyday.'
2008 is set to see DJ Dan Healy develop into an undisputed leader in the DJ, creative and business worlds. A multi-talented and diverse individual, who not only offers a superb DJ set, but will charm and entertain the most diverse of crowds. Whether it is the Cannes Film Festival, a private event at Boujis, or an Ozwald Boateng party, Dan never fails to impress the most demanding of partygoers.
'Dan is not your average talent and his passion and enthusiasm is as engaging as it is entertaining, I heard him play for the first time five years ago during Funky Buddha's heyday and ever since he has been my top choice. It’s just a shame he's always so busy.'
